- How is this different from hiring an employee?
- The engineer works in your team day to day, but the contract is between your company and YieldCode. You get one monthly invoice — no payroll, benefits, recruitment fees or employment paperwork on your side.
- How much does it cost?
- Rates start from $25 per hour. The final rate depends on the role, seniority and engagement model, so we send a custom quote once we understand what you need.
- Can we interview the developer first?
- Yes. You meet and interview the engineer before anything is signed, and only go ahead if they're the right fit.
- How quickly can someone start?
- Usually about a week after we agree the details. The exact start date is decided together, based on your timeline and the engineer's availability.
- Who owns the code and the work?
- You do. Ownership of everything built for you is written into the service agreement.
- We found you through a job post. Can we still hire you?
- Yes. Instead of joining as an employee, we provide the same expertise through YieldCode on a company-to-company contract. Send us the job post and we'll tell you who fits it.
- Can we change hours or add more developers later?
- Yes. You can move between part-time and full-time, or add engineers as the work grows. We agree changes in writing with reasonable notice on both sides.
